Description
Adelie penguins need our help. A friend of mine works amongst these amazing creatures doing research on krill and the effects the lack of them are having on penguin species. Reference photo courtesy of this friend. Little chick came to check out what was going on, taken on an island in South Georgia. To me it looks like she's saying 'Hey you there! Yes, you. You Need To Do Something. Hot flushes should not be happening to me' I painted this work, one because I was very much drawn to the original image and two because I do think WE need to be doing more to protect and save our . amazing wildlife from extinction.
